FustCharles Announces New Partner and Principals

Congratulations!FustCharles has admitted Christian Snyder, CPA into the Partnership and promoted Mary Ellen Romagno, CPA and Michael W. Hartwell, CPA to Principal.

Christian Snyder, CPA – Partner, Tax Department:
Christian Snyder, CPA has been admitted into the FustCharles Partnership. Snyder is a Partner in the Firm’s Tax Department with over 25 years of experience in public tax accounting and industry. He provides income tax planning, compliance and advisory privately held businesses and publicly traded companies. He has extensive experience in accounting for income taxes for domestic publicly traded companies with multi-state tax issues, as well as significant experience with acquisitions and divestitures. Prior to joining the Firm, Snyder held a director position within income tax and external financial reporting at a national public company and has also worked in public accounting.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). He is a graduate of SUNY Geneseo and resides in Brighton, N.Y. Christian joined the Firm in 2024 and is based in the Rochester office.
Mary Ellen Romagno, CPA – Principal, Audit Department:
Mary Ellen Romagno, CPA has been promoted to Principal in the Firm’s Audit Department. Mary Ellen provides accounting, audit and advisory services to many of the Firm’s commercial, healthcare and not-for-profit organizations, as well as their employee benefit plans.
Mary Ellen is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). She is a graduate of Le Moyne College and resides in Liverpool, N.Y. Mary Ellen joined the Firm in 2014.
Michael W. Hartwell, CPA – Principal, Tax Department:
Michael W. Hartwell, CPA has been promoted to Principal in the Firm’s Tax Department. Mike provides income tax planning, compliance and advisory services to proprietorships, partnerships and corporations, and the owners and executives associated with such entities. He focuses on commercial clients utilizing pass-through entities, such as partnerships and S-corporations, and is also involved in the delivery of tax services to the Firm’s not-for-profit organizations.
Mike is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and serves as Treasurer on the Onondaga Historical Association Board. He is a graduate of St. Bonaventure University and resides in Cicero, N.Y. Mike joined the Firm in 2015.
